Yvonne Hines began her culinary experience in 2003 at her home by sharing her special recipe of pralines, a confection pecan candy originating from the Old South. Knowing that she needed to acquire additional skills to realize her dream of owning her own business, she approached the City College Culinary program, and from there then was referred to the Bayview Business Resource Center in San Francisco.
