Doug Ross and Craig Martin opened their business as partners on
September 1, 1999. Their florist and event enterprise specializes
in floral creations for all celebrations of life.
In February 2002, with a loan from Women’s Economic Ventures’
Small Business Loan Fund (SBLF), Martin David Designs moved to its
current location in Santa Barbara’s Five Points Shopping Center.
This relocation to a high-traffic, highly visible storefront “has
made all the difference in the world to us,” says Doug.
The business is set to expand again with the launch of Kauaiconcierge,
personal shopping, floral and event services on Kauai, Hawaii. The
Santa Barbara floral boutique, open Monday-Saturday, is a slice
of mainland paradise featuring creative, custom florals and gifts.
Their clients, including WEV graduates, support and encourage Doug
and Craig to persevere.
