1)
Take a look at the list of Assembly
Co-Authors. If your Assembly member signed on as a co-author,
write a thank you note. Also, did you know your Assembly Member could
order a framed resolution and present it to you to hang in your office?
Ask them if they want to present the framed resolution to you during
your microenterprise development month event or during a visit to
your office, during an entrepreneur training, a board meeting, a meeting
at a microentrepreneur’s place of business, or during a tour
of businesses. Work with the legislator’s staff to make this
a media event.
2) CAMEO has completed new press materials
that include our press release, our new publication, California
Microenterprise Development in Action and our basic public
education brochure on microenterprise development. You can view
the documents on our website, or we can mail you what you need for
your meetings, presentations and events in the coming weeks.
3) Send out a press release.
A link to our press release is included below and you are welcome
to use it as a template for your own local press release. We have
also created a press page on our website to help you provide language
and background information for any media stories, presentations,
op-eds, and interviews (see link below).

4) Take pictures of your events,
ceremonies, and presentations. Send us copies of your newspaper
articles and op-eds. A section of the CAMEO website will be a scrapbook
of event announcements, photos, and newspaper clippings of this
historic microenterprise development month.
