OBDC Finance is a leading community lender serving micro and small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to join our growing microlending team.
As a Business Development Specialist you will be involved in all aspects of developing and sustaining the microloan portfolio pipeline. You will work closely with the director of market development in attracting new clients, assisting in securing strategic alliances, and marketing to micro and small businesses throughout the Bay Area with primary focus in San Francisco County.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate genuine interest and experience in community, alternative, or business lending, preferably with a background working with micro or small businesses. Strong communication skills are necessary, written and verbal. Analytical skills are a plus. Candidates with a record of successfully meeting performance metrics are highly desirable. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
A degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Community Development, International Affairs, Urban Planning, or Public Policy is preferred.
Telecommuting is required. Reliable transportation will be necessary in addition to high-speed internet access.

Who possesses…
1. Bachelor’s degree or minimum five years experience in related field; plus two years supervisory experience;

4. Demonstrated experience with analytical thinking and use of metrics to evaluate and train staff;
5. Demonstrated understanding of community employment practices for individuals with disabilities;
